Privacy Policy of Aarogya Setu App is Updated


There is new change in terms of service and privacy policy of the Aarogya Setu app.When Users opens app they see a popup message about the updated service and privacy policy.User Should Accept the revised terms of service and privacy policy in order to continue using the app.

Among other changes, the app will no longer restrict a user if he/she fails to comply with the terms of service of the app. The new terms remove restrictions on tampering and reverse-engineering, and adds contact information in case a user wants to report a defect/false case.

The Changes in Privacy Policy are as below:-

  1. Failure to comply with the terms of service no longer results in suspension

  2. Reference to the convenience services and ePass features.

  3. Clarifications provided as to the consequences of not keeping the phone with you.

  4. The restrictions on tampering and reverse-engineering have been removed

  5. It has been made clear that it is only if you delete the App that you will no longer be able to use the Service.

  6. Clarifications as to the liability of the government for certain actions and disclaimers.

  7. Contact information has been provided for defect reporting.

Aarogya Setu app is an official app of Government of India which is used for contact tracing for coronavirus and it has more than 100 million users and it is available on google play store as well as ios store
