WWDC 2020: Apple reveals iOS 14 with improved interface, features

Apple on Monday officially revealed the iOS 14. The new update brings a host of new features and interface improvements. The iOS 14 features an App Library which automatically organizes the application. The company has also launched new widgets for the home screen. Users can add podcasts, Calendar, Weather, and other widgets in the widgets gallery.

Apple has also added Picture-in-Picture support for iPhones with the iOS 14 update. The new OS update also gives a new Siri experience. The digital assistant is now able to execute voice commands much faster. Siri can also now send voice messages to contacts. The voice assistant is now able to do real-time language translation with voice playback.

Apple has also updated iMessages. The app now allows users to pin a conversation. For group messages, Apple has introduced Slack-like thread conversations. There is also a new mention feature, similar to WhatsApp's. Apple Maps on iOS 14 has been updated as well. The platform now comes with a new interface and new features.

Appleā€™s annual developer conference kicked off on Monday. During the five-day conference, Apple will host various sessions with developers. This year, Apple is holding the event online because of Covid-19 pandemic.
