WWDC 2020: New Apple devices are expected to launch

The Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2020 will start in an online format on June 22 and go until June 26. As the tradition goes, Apple is assumed to announce a slew of updates to its software at its annual event.

This means that the company will not only provide users a glance of its iOS 14, but it will also showcase the updates that will be available in iPadOS, watchOS, macOS, and tvOS at its developer's conference tomorrow. That said, the software will not be the sole focus of the event tomorrow.

Apple, apart from introducing new software, is also assumed to launch new hardware at the event tomorrow. So, here is a list of all the devices that are supposed to launch at tomorrow’s event.

ARM-powered Mac

Apple has referred to a MacBook in all its WWDC-related images which make us believe that the company will launch a new MacBook at the WWDC 2020. Reports indicate that Apple will ditch the Intel processor, something it has been using in its devices for almost 15 years now, to opt for an ARM-based processor. The new ARM-based processors are said to be more power-efficient and offer better performance in terms of graphics and AI. The new MacBook is supposed to run on macOS rather than iOS. That said, while Apple will be announcing its ARM-based Mac at WWDC it will be months before it starts shipping them. Word is that the company could start shipping the new Mac in 2021.

New iMac

Apple is also supposed to refresh its line of iMac computers at the event tomorrow. It is expected to come with a 23-inch display and a slimmer design. Additionally, it is supposed to feature a slimmer design and the company’s new T2 security chip.

New Apple TV

Some reports also indicate towards Apple launching a new Apple TV 4K device, The Verge reported. The company last refreshed the lineup back in 2017 and so it is due for an upgrade. The new Apple TV 4K is supposed to come with a new processor and more storage space.

Apple Tag

The report also suggests Apple launching the rumored Tile-like AirTag tracker at its upcoming event.
